Republican legislators in Arizona are attempting to pass legislation that forces transgender people to only use public restrooms, dressing rooms and showers associated with the gender listed on their birth certificate. According to the Associated Press, conservative lawmakers are proposing the legislation in response to a human rights bill passed by the city of Phoenix which prohibits gender identity discrimination in public accommodations. I think this is pretty stupid. I work at a female lingerie store and we have trans people come in all the time for bras and panties and I’ve even measured them before for a bra. We let them try on the bras and everything. Most of them keep coming back because were the only place in the mall that will measure them and not look at them weird. If we didn’t do that we’d probably make a lot less money.
